DELIVERANCE

What is deliverance?

Deliverance is the ministry Jesus introduced as He healed the sick and set free those tormented by evil spirits. It is what He told us to do in Mark 16:17 And these signs will accompany those who believe: in my name they will cast out demons. Deliverance refers both to the process and the outcome of one’s freedom from demonic oppression, and it is all accomplished using our authority in the name of Jesus, as He instructed. The prayer warriors who will be conducting your deliverance are simply His instruments and they rely completely on the guidance of the Holy Spirit.

Prerequisite for Deliverance

The main prerequisite for deliverance is a commitment to maintaining one’s deliverance. Without such maintenance, there is a risk of losing the benefits of deliverance, and even ending up in a worse state than before the deliverance, as indicated in Matthew 12:43-45 43 When an impure spirit comes out of a person, it goes through arid places seeking rest and does not find it. 44 Then it says, ‘I will return to the house I left.’ When it arrives, it finds the house unoccupied, swept clean and put in order. 45 Then it goes and takes with it seven other spirits more wicked than itself, and they go in and live there. And the final condition of that person is worse than the first. That is how it will be with this wicked generation.

Strategies for maintenance of deliverance include:
  1. Develop a consistent prayer life

  2. Read and study the Bible to renew your mind and know and own your “weapons” of spiritual warfare

  3. Stay connected with other Christians (e.g. church, Life Groups, etc.) for support and accountability

  4. Put on the armor of God as recommended in Ephesians 6:10-17: 10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. 13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15 and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

  5. Resist the devil. Be watchful for any demonic influence, from the time it presents itself as a “seed” in the form of a thought that is not of God: We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ. (Corinthians 10:5)

  6. Monitor closely to check if there is anything that is trying to steal your peace (usually an indicator that something is not aligned with the will of God) and more specifically to steal:

    • Your personal inner harmony

    • Your peace of mind

    • Your physical well-being

    • Your harmony with others (causing confusion and problems in relationships)

Here At RSMI, we conduct prophetic deliverance to remove the root cause of the problem(s) that the children of God are facing.
